Supporting Children and Family Urban Ministries
CFUM's primary funding comes from the Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church and from congregations within the conference. In recent years ecumenical support has increased through direct involvement and financial gifts from congregations and individuals of many faiths. Please see our Funding page and add your support.
The Circle of Dreamers is a new initiative intended to develop a steady, reliable stream of income we can count on through monthly pledges from supporters. A large amount of staff time is spent scrambling for resources when funds run low, which we would much rather invest in delivering and developing programs. Your commitment in the Circle of Dreamers will support our work and allow us to maximize all of our resources. Please read more about the Circle of Dreamers.
CFUM consumes large quantities of supplies in delivering our services, and has an ongoing need for many common items. Please see our listing of especially-useful Gifts in Kind.
Please check our frequently-updated listing of special immediate needs often. It lists volunteers and items for which we have a pressing need right now.
Volunteer support is absolutely critical to the operation of all CFUM programs. Without volunteers at all levels we would not be able to function. Most volunteers find the experience so rewarding they participate as much for their own benefit as to help in CFUM's mission. Please see the Volunteering page for information on how to get involved.
